Thank You

This Thank You card was created using Gina K.'s "Pillow Top" Technique. I had a lot of fun creating this card, it was also very simple and easy to make. The tree stamp was from Jo-Ann's, and then I use a mini flower punch to create the little pink flowers on the tree and took it one step further and used a Pearl Pen to put the pretty centers onto the flowers.  I will be making more backgrounds using this technique! I love it!

Disney Princesses

My wonderful hubby bought me the Cricut Imagine for Christmas last year and I admit that I really haven't played with it a whole lot. The biggest disappointment for me was that you couldn't combine layers from non-imagine cartridges - however after  A LOT of research and blog reading - I FOUND A WAY! Thanks to an extremely informative blog ( http://cricutcraftroomblog.blogspot.com.au/) I was finally able to combine the layers of the beautiful Disney Princesses. Those of you who have played with any of the little intricate pieces know how difficult it can be. Unfortunately it's not the machine that is able to combine the layers - it is the Cricut Craft Room. I must say that this program is pretty user friendly and there's a wide variety of things that you can do on it. As a first time user I was pretty impressed. The only problem I did find was that if you download the latest version of the CCR it will not allow you to cut the image. In order for you to avoid this problem you have you use CCR 132. I do have the link for this download, that I can send in an e-mail if any one is interested. The clam shell on The Little Mermaid card as well as the black outline of Aurora from Sleeping Beauty were welded together in DS (although from what I saw it is possible to do this in the CCR as well). I added a few little gems to the sea flowers on The Little Mermaid card. On the Sleeping Beauty card she was originally holding a cup, I cut it out of her hands and replaced it with a present from the "Something to Celebrate" Cartridge. I thought it was more appropriate considering it's for a little girl's birthday. I'm not sure if you can see the little tag on the present but it says "Happy Birthday" I used a thin piece of yarn to tie it on the present. Thanks for looking! I absolutely adore the Disney Princesses (Still) so I love the way these cards came out. I'm officially done with Birthday cards for the year! I hope! Next will be Christmas cards!

Baby Boy 1st Birthday

My good friends baby boy is almost a year old already! It's crazy how time flies. The bear and balloons are from " Create A Critter" Cart. and the hat is from " Something to Celebrate". That background is embossed with "Traffic Jam" Cuttlebug Folder. The papers are all from my stash. TFL!

Lighting McQueen & Googly Eyes

What little boy doesn't love Lighting McQueen? My 6 year old cousin in Portugal sure does! That's why I thought this card would be absolutely perfect for him. I added a brad to the end of the car to make it swivel upwards. I also added "Googly Eyes" because I just love them! Since I made this card pretty big the small pieces weren't as much of a pain as normal so it was kinda fun, almost like a puzzle. Enjoy!

Speaking of Googly eyes... I just bought a bunch of them in different sizes and thought I'd share with you all on how I organized them. The front picture is something that I put together. The pictures are below.

Bleach Stamping

This was my first attempt at bleach stamping (the next one will be better!) I used the Stampin' Up! Reasons to Smile Stamp Set to use as the background. Not too sure about this card...What do you all think?

Ice Cream Birthday Card

Who doesn't love sweets on their birthday? This card I created with the "Yummy" Imagine Cart. and then I embossed the pink and brown scoops with the "D'vine Swirls" Cuttlebug Folder and the vanilla scoop with the "Swiss Dots" Folder. The Happy Birthday Sentiment and the inside saying are both heat embossed. I also just LOVE the "goopy" punch! :)

Lighthouse Cards

This cards are made with the same stamp sets. The compass & script writing are from Stampin' Up! "The Open Seas"---and the lighthouse is a wooden stamp that I'm thinking came from Michaels. These are both cards for males, and similar yet different. I like they way they both came out, I hope you do too!

I'll Drink to That!

This is for a good friend of mine, whose birthday is in October. (Yes, I'm a little ahead of schedule! :) ) This card was a lot of fun to make! I love the bright and vibrant colors. This card was created with the Provo Craft "Happy Birthday" embossing folder and the stamps are Fiskars "Girls Night Out" stamp set. Enjoy!

A Birthday Greeting

This card was really fun to make. I enjoyed coloring it all in. I used Flower Soft in the middle of the Daisey's, a glitter pen on the wording and the Daisey's. You can't quite see it from the picture but the butterflies and dragonflies are 3-Dimensional. I colored in the background with Sky Blue & Bamboo Leaves Memento Inks.
Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

WILD Birthday

Yes! Yes! Another card is getting posted! With my new hobby room all shaped up and ready to use I have been spending A L-O-T of time in it. This is a card I made for a friend who absolutely loves giraffes. I used the Gina K. "Wild About You" Stamp set. I absolutely ADORE this stamp set. It's probably because I lived in South Africa for 8 years. The background was done with "Butterscotch" alcohol inks to imitate a giraffe pattern. I think it came out pretty good!

Under the Sea

This is another stamp that I had bought from Michaels a few years ago, and I had NEVER used it! That is until now. :) I used a variety of Bic Markers to color the shells in and then used sponge daubers to give the "sea" effect background. I used the Memento colors - Teal Zeal, Sky Blue, and a hint of Bahama Blue.

Trumpet Daffodil Birthday Card

This card was created with a stamp that I bought from Michaels - It's the Trumpet Daffodil Stamp. I thought it was just so pretty, and would make a great birthday card! I hope you all like it.

Berry Happy Birthday!

This was a simple yet fun card to make. The strawberry is cut from the "Hello Kitty" Cartridge & I added the rhinestones to it! The papers are all from my stash.

Under Construction!

For the past couple of weeks my hobby room has undergone some serious re-organization and expansion. I have enjoyed every minute of it! :) Here are some pictures of the final product. I must say that I'm pretty pleased with the way that it came out!
My Corner of the hobby room - the hubby hung up the shelves for me.

This embellishment center, and ribbon rack are something that my husband built for me. They came out GREAT!
I didn't have to many "embellishments" until now  - it's a collection that is growing rapidly.

My mother and I have been doing these sponge dauber boxes together, although they are slightly different it's the same concept.

My mom has had these Cuttlebug folders for a while, and I've recently joined her in this organizational fashion. They're a really neat thing, and with the tabs it makes it easy to find a folder.

Thanks for stopping by!
More cards are on the way :)

Adult Male Cards

I absolutely LOVE the way this card came out, however the design isn't my own. I used Lena Fonkert's design for this card. It's SLIGHTLY different but for the most part the same.

My Husband's Uncle is fascinated with Corvettes and has owned several of them! I thought this card would be perfect for him!
