HIMCR Challenge # 163: Freestyle!

Hello Saturday!

It's time for another challenge at Hiding in my Craftroom!

This week's challenge is one of my favorites, FREESTYLE! I just love to see what happens when you let your imagination and creativity run wild!

This weeks sponsor is:

The giveaway is: 3 Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps digital images - winner's choice!

I find that making cards for men, or for males, is difficult. Maybe part of the reason is because I love the color pink and thin everything should have pink or rhinestones on it! Lol. So I try to step outside my comfort zone, and attempt to make male cards every once in a while. Here is what I came up with using their sweet little image called, Fishing Puppy. Personally, I think this came out GREAT!

As stated in some of my more recent posts, I am really trying to work on my coloring skills! I just bought the Spectrum Noir Color Pencils and will give those a shot here pretty soon as well. I already have the markers, and have for a while, and I just LOVE them. This image was colored in with the markers. The papers are all from my stash, but I did use the Wood Grain embossing folder from Darice on the Kraft Paper. The trees came from "Rustic Lodge" Cottage Cutz die. I thought that the Burlap would add a nice "masculine" touch to the card!
If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge # 163: Freestyle.
Have fun!

I used a cute little Halloween image from them and came up with this card!

I used my Spectrum Noir's to color in the cute little characters. All the papers are from my stash and I used the Tim Holtz paper distresser on the purple paper.

Now it's your turn!

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge #162: Any Holiday.

It's Saturday y'all! Time for another challenge over at Hiding in my Craftroom!

This weeks challenge is: RIBBON

So create a project that involves ribbon!

The sponsor for this week is:

The giveaway is: FOUR preselected Images!

Here is the project that I created with one of their lovely images:

This image just made me think of everything pink and girly, so I really made it up that way too! I have been really trying to work on my coloring skills and have tried a few new techniques on this image. I must say that I am pretty please with how it turned out.

The papers are all from my stash. The die around the image is Decorative Labels 8 & Labels 8 from Spellbinders. The label is also from Spellbinders titled "Ribbon Banners". The butterflies are punched from Martha Stewart's 3-1 Classic Butterfly Punch. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesdays "Banners" Stamp set.

Can't wait to see how you will use your ribbon!

Since this was a freestyle challenge, I used a stamp from Crafter's Companion from the Frou Frou line up. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this set! I have almost all of the girls from this collection. This one however is my favorite.

I just think she is fabulous! I chose to do a teal, black, and silver combination with, of course, a little sass and dazzle! I hope you all like it as much as I do.

HIMCR Blogiversary #3: Back to School

Since Summer is nearly over (sadly), we have decided that this challenges theme will be Back to School!

The sponsor for this challenge is:

The giveaway is TBA!

Here is what I came up with using the sponsor's image and sentiment!

I used just regular black card stock and then used a tissue and white chalk to enhance the "chalkboard" effect.  I also thought that it would be fun to put the smiley apple on an Action Wobble! So I did! The pens and pencil and ruler are all stickers from my stash.

Be back here at 2:00pm for our final challenge in the Hiding in my Craftroom Blogiversary!

This challenge is KISS (Keep It Simple Sweetie). So it just means to make it simple, clean, and easy but most of all fun!

The sponsor for this challenge is:

The giveaway is a $20 gift Certificate to Paper Temptress

I just love the paper from PaperTemptress! Here is a Thank You card I made using her lovely papers.

I'm not sure what the Spotted paper is called, but the rest are as follows:

Lagoon - Hummingbird
Flame Metallic - Beak of Humming Bird
White Velvet - Square
Onyx Metallic - Inner Square

The Humming bird is a die from Cottage Cutz, and the Square is a die cut from Spellbinders called Fluer De Lis.

Here's what I came up with for this challenge using their digi called "Cherry on my toes"

This week the sponsor is:

The prize is TWO images of the winners choice from 2 Cute Ink

This week I did a little looking around on Pinterest for some inspiration as far as card sketches go. Here is the one that I chose to accompany this sweet little image from 2 Cute Ink.

The image is cupcake kitty and here is what I came up with!

I really like how this came out, and I think I will be using more card sketches in the future! They are actually a lot of fun! I hope you all like my card for this week. All the papers are from my stash. I used my trusty, hand-dandy Spectrum Noirs to color in the image.
