HIMCR Challenge # 176: Freestyle

It's Saturday! Which means it's time for another challenge over at Hiding in My Craftroom!

The challenge this week is Freestyle!

Our sponsor this week is:

The giveaway is $100 in DCWV goodies!

And there will be 3 winners!

SO, unfortunately, I didn't have any DCWV paper on hand, looks like I need to go shopping! :) However, I did make this adorable little monkey card for this weeks challenge:

A friend of mine just had a bounding baby boy and I thought this was just the cutest little thing ever so I made this for her. The little monkey image is from Kadoodle Bug and the card is cut from a Silhouette file that I found in the store.  The sentiment is sketched using a Silhouette Sketch Pen.

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge # 176: Freestyle.

Clear It Out Challenge # 55: Winter Wishes

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!
  It's time for another challenge over at Clear it Out Challenges!
The goal with these challenges is to clear out your stash, you know the stuff you've been holding on it, or things that you just don't know what to do with? As well as have fun!

This weeks challenge:
Theme: WINTER WISHES
Stash: USE A SNOWFLAKE

Our sponsor this week is:

So this week, I used their sweet little image called "Victorian Winter Emily" and you can find her HERE!

My initial take on this beautiful little image was to color her dress and coat in a deep dark red, almost like a velvet. However, since I am trying to expand my horizons I went with the not so obvious choice and colored her out fit in a deep blue. Of course I still had to add a splash of red in there, and colored her umbrella in a deep red. I think I definitely have enough snowflakes for this challenge! I used Snowflake paper, punches, and embellishments! I had so much fun putting this card together.

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Clear it Out Challenges to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to Clear It Out Challenges # 55: Winter Wishes.

Snowflake - Everybody - Art Challenge

The challenge this week is Any Holiday!

Our sponsor this week is:

The prize is: 4 digital images of the winners choice!

So here is what I came up with using the image, Winter Wonderland Ride Along

This card was colored with my Spectrum Noir Markes and all the papers are scraps. It's hard to see in the picture but the word "JOY" is cut out on really sparkly and glittery paper from ColorBok. Adds just enough sparkle to this cute little image :)

Whimsy Stamps DT Call

Hello Crafty Friends!

In case you haven't see me say it enough,"I ADORE WHIMSY STAMPS!!" I have been collecting them for about two years now, and I am no where close to owning all the ones I want. However, it's a fun hobby to continue buying. ;)

Whimsy Stamps is currently hosting a DT call, and I'm so excited to apply for the chance to join such a wonderful company. Making this DT would be a dream come true. I just love all their stamps from ALL the designers. Each one is so different and they are all ridiculously talented designers.

For this DT application I decided to make a Wintery Christmas Card featuring the very cute "Holly"designed by Sylvia Zet

So... here's my card:

I used a Silhouette Cut File to create the Easel card. I cut it in a Blue Damask print as the base. I used my ever trust Spectrum Noir Markers on this little cutie:

Hair - TN9, TN5, TN3, TN2
Clothes - TB9, TB7, TB4, TB3, TB1
Branch - EB7, EB5
Berries - DR7, DR2, CR11
Leaves - DG3, DG4, DG2

I cut this image out using the wonderful Die Cut set called "Anja's Squares" by Marianne Creatables. I used Nautical Blue Dew Drop Memento Ink and a small dauber to shade in the square. I used a stardust pen on her wings, and snowflakes. I used a Snow Marker on her ear muffs to create that "fluffy" look. I also used Stickles to create that glittery effect of a fresh fallen snow.
I dazzled it up a little bit and added some embellishments such as the Navy Blue Roses, and the glittery snowflakes. I topped it off with a sweet little sentiment and called it a day. I think it came out wonderfully, and I hope that the DT coordinators of Whimsy will like it as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would also like to include the following images in this post:
This one is also a Whimsy Stamp but is designed by Elisabeth Bell and is called Chloe's Little Light.
You can find more about this card in my original post here.
This one is designed by StampArt by Kathryne, which is a digital image and is called Autumn Delight. You can find more about this card in my original post here.
Thank you for your consideration! Wish me luck bloggie friends, I would LOVE to be apart of this talented design team.
This weeks challenge:
Theme: WINTER
Stash: METAL EMBELLISHMENT
Our sponsor this week is: Bugaboostamps
Prize is SEVEN FREE DIGIS!!
So here is what I came up with:
This didn't come out ANYTHING like I had planned out in my head, but I think it still works. What do you all think? All the papers, and ribbon are from my stash. I used my spectrum noirs to color in the cute little image. I used glossy accents on the berries on her wings. I also used a snow pen on her Santa Hat. My metal embellishment is the little brads that are holding up the banner.
HIMCR Challenge # 172: Fall Colors
It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another challenge over at Hiding in My Craftroom!
The challenge this week is Fall Colors!
Our sponsor this week is:
The prize is: a $12 Gift Certificate to Sami Stamps.
Teal seems to be a pretty popular color this year for Thanksgiving/Fall - So I decided to keep up with the trend and add a splash of teal to this week's project. So here is what I created using the image, Acorn Harvest.
This card was colored with my Spectrum Noir Markes and all the papers are scraps. I did however, try something new and added freckles to this cute little image. Although it is hard to see, it came out really cute in my opinion. I thought this card wouldn't be complete without feathers and happened to find some stashed in the very far back corner of my hobby room closet! The sentiment is created in the Silhouette design studio using a phrase I bought and the Ric Rac frame that came with my silhouette. I'm having so much fun playing with this machine it's unreal!
