Here's what I came up with:

I had the best idea to turn a double shutter card into a GARDEN/HOUSE! Although this was so much fun to put together, it was quite tedious and required a lot of patience (which for the most part I have none). I just adore how this came out and think I will be hanging on to this one for sure!

Mitzi is a Colorado-based fantasy artist.  Originally from Japan, her art is influenced by the vintage shojo manga she grew up with, as well as the classic art forms such as tattoo art and woodblock prints of her native country.  Her fantasy art subjects range from cute and whimsical to dark and macabre, and everything in between.  Majority of her Aurora Wings digital stamps are made from the line art of her fantasy illustrations, giving them a uniquely distinct look of flowing lines with high level of detail.  Most are ink & pen traditional drawings, which are either colored free-hand in Corel Painter or traditionally with watercolor.  Her Etsy shop, Aurora Wings, offers digital stamps, prints, ACEOs, coloring books,-and-originals.

It was a challenge for sure, but I'm so happy with how it turned out! I made this into a mixed media project which was so much fun - I sure am enjoying my Dylusions paints!

Heather Valentin  is  creative ,  award winning,  modern-day  fantasy and  whimsical  artist who has displayed a dynamic and vibrant energy while painting professionally for over 18 years.
She  began to express herself creatively through movement at a very young age.
For many years she studied dance, being drawn to forms that allowed creative self expression, all the while feeling this constant urge to create with her hands. The canvas is now her dance floor where color, beauty and drama are expressed through her every pencil sketch and  brush stroke. Her  subjects vary from fairies, fantasy, mermaids, vampires, dragons, wildlife, abstract and more. She is one who is inspired in a single moment. Her  dreams, moods and the the unfolding beauty of the world around her is what charts her dance for the day. She is most alive when sketching and painting, creating timeless pieces that reflect her heart and soul. Drawing breathes life into her soul- it enables her to reach out and touch lives. This gives her a place in the world one character and painting at a time.

Heather's  artist portfolio  has  expanded to include such  clients  as   Pepsi, Outback Steakhouse, Nabisco, Zephryhils  and can now be found  at Laguna Art, Third Stone Art Gallery and Sausalito Art Galleries, along with commercial and private collections across
the globe.

Ching-Chou became a full-time artist and share her art with others since Mar 2006.

I had the privilege of working with 2 of these wonderful sponsors!

College Graduation Card ~ Paper Temptress Inspiration

HELLO FRIENDS!

If you check out the Paper Temptress Blog today, you'll see that I'm providing some inspiration while working with some amazing cardstocks, and papers!

I was commissioned to make a Graduation Card for a friend of mine. I thought it would be a neat idea to incorporate the school colors and make it a shaker card!

The school's colors are officially blue and green but what's graduation without some black and silver too? The robes are black with blue, so I think this works.

So for this Graduation Card I used the following products:

Black  - Cap, Numbers, & Flourish
Silver Metallic Glossy - Top Layer of Card
Heavenly White 80# - Base of the Card & Diploma

I also used:

Star Printed Vellum - Paper Studio
Blue & Silver Sequins - Recollections
Black & White "Floss"
Brad (For Cap)

For a tutorial on the tassel you can visit this link - It is what I used to create mine!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Until next time...

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration!

Hello There!!

If you check out the Ching Chou Kuik FB Group, you'll see that I've shared an inspiration piece over there today as it is my turn on the DT rotation. The 2nd and 3rd Monday of every month you can see an inspirational piece from me!

The image I used is called On the Moon and you can find this image and MANY other fabulous images of at the Ching Chou Kuik Etsy shop.

Here is what I created:

I don't often make tags, but this beauty inspired me! I used alcohol to create the drops in the purple background. I only had white tulle, so I add some metallic slate Perfect Pearls spray, and a little black acrylic paint. Let it dry and VIOLA - Black tulle. I have to mention that I got Ken Olive's Best Craft Mat for Christmas - and it is AMAZING! If you've been on the fence about it, BUY it! Clean up is easy, it holds everything in place. I just LOVE IT! I used it when fiddling around with the Tulle for this project.

Copic Colors Used - In order from lightest to darkest:

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000

Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration!

Hello There!!

If you check out the Ching Chou Kuik FB Group, you'll see that I've shared an inspiration piece over there today as it is my turn on the DT rotation. The 2nd and 3rd Monday of every month you can see an inspirational piece from me!

The image I used is called Blue Sea Illusion and you can find this image and MANY other fabulous images of at the Ching Chou Kuik Etsy shop.

Blue Sea Illusion - Digital Stamp Instant Download / Gemstone Butterfly Mermaid Fairy Girl Fantasy Art by Ching-Chou Kuik

Here is what I created:

I know the title of the image is "blue" sea illusion - but for whatever reason I pictured her in bright jade green colors with hints of purple. So that is what I did! I love how this came out. The Silhouette store has a really nice side step card template with the little flourish on top, and it makes it SO much easier than trying to fold, cut, and measure manually. Who has time for that?!

Copic Colors Used - In order from lightest to darkest:

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Hair: E29, E25, E21
Dress: G19, G14, G12

Lips: R59, E04
Butterflies: V99, V25, V22, V20, G14, E15 ( Body)
Leaves: G14
