Palm Trees & Sunset

While browsing through Theresa Momber's blog, I came across this simple but beautiful card.  I decided to make one very similar too it. The rectangle was just created using a scoring board. The colors I used for the sunset are all Memento Inks - Dandelion, Cantaloupe, Tangelo, Morocco, Lady Bug, Love Letter & Rhubarb Stalk. In that order. Thanks for looking!

Poinsettia Card

Spellbinders has a beautiful die cut that creates a Poinsettia. The idea for this card came from Kittie Kraft.  This was so much fun to put together. I took advice from this blog and used ink to create dimension in the flower petals and in the leaves. I also used the McGill flower tool set to create a curl and bend in the leaves. I hope you all like this card as much as I do. :)

White & Blue Snowflake Card

This card was created using the JustRite Snowflake Background Stamp. This stamp is just too cool, you can create a wide variety of cards by just using different color inks. I love the way this card came out, however my inspiration came from Sheri Holt. I used a separate snowflake stamp to do the silver embossed snowflakes. TFL!

Heirloom Ornament Cards

I have had so much fun playing with these Heirloom Ornament die-cuts and stamps (from 2010-2011) that I created a variety of cards using them. Some of them are created in traditional colors while others are not. Most of the background papers were from the Paper Studio Old World Winder Paper Pack. Except the last card in the picture - that was created with the Snowflake Background stamp. Enjoy!

Three Wise Men Ornament Card

This card was inspired from one that I found on Lena's Blog, and I decided to do something very similar. I used red glitter paper and embossed it with the Snowflakes Cuttlebug folder and then used the Heirloom Spellbinders to create the ornament. The second picture you can see the details better. TFL!

Spectrum Noir Markers & Storage

For a while I have been researching alcohol markers and trying to make a decision on which one would be right for me. I ended up going with the complete (all 168) set of Spectrum Noir Markers. I am soo completely thrilled with them!! I can't even express how happy I was to get these in! There's so much I love about them. The colors blend beautifully together, their comfortable to hold, and they're so affordable!  Once I received them, I started look at storage options - I took a little bit from everywhere and finally came up with my own little system that works for me. I bought 4 of the small crates from Wal*Mart in black (because it matches the rest of my hobby room) and then used black foam board to create shelves for my markers, then I organized them by the same color families that they are designed with. Included at the bottom is a VERY quick idea of what they look like when you color something in. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them!  Thanks for stopping by!

"Scrap" Shopping Bags

I'm pretty new to Pinterest, and some of the ideas on there are just FABULOUS! This was one that I saw and just had to do for a friend of mine. I'm not sure who specfically did it, so unfortunately I can't give them the credit they deserve. This was made with some scraps of paper that I had and then I added red tissue paper coming out of the bags. The embossed dots are the "Swiss Dots" folder from Cuttlebug. I thought this was very chic and girly!  Love it! I will probably use the same technique to make Christmas Cards too!

1st Christmas Card of the Year & Challenge

This is the first Christmas card of the year! Yay! One down, 28 to go. This card was created with Gina K's Merry & Bright Duo Set. I used gold embossing powder on the sentiment and the image. For Enfys' September Blog Challenge - You had to create a card using non-traditional Christmas Colors - therefore I opted to go with Teal and Gold. I hope you all like it as much as I do!

2013 Calendars (Jan - April)

Sorry for the delay in posts. It's been a little while since I have updated my blog. Trust me though I've been working like a little busy bee. For Christmas this year I decided to make a few calendars as Christmas Presents. I'm actually quite surprised how fast I finished them. I used a variety of cartridges, papers, embellishments, etc. If there's a specific month you'd like more information on please feel free to e-mail me and I'll do my best to remember where everything came from. :) I will post the calendars 4 months at a time. I hope you all enjoy them! :)
Thanks for stopping by - and as always leave me some lovin'.
