Clear it Out Challenge #51: Color Orange!

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!
It's time for another challenge over at Clear it Out Challenges!
This weeks challenge:
Theme: ORANGE
Stash: ORANGE THINGS

Our sponsor this week is: MelJen's Designs

Winner will receive 4 non-coloured images
So here is what I came up with:

This image is called "Autumn Cupcake" and they have a whole line-up of cupcake themed holidays they are ALL adorable! I used Orange stickles on the icing of the cupcake and tried to make this cupcake look "authentic" with the right colors. I even tried to make the wrapper look like a barrel. I think I achieve the look I was going for. :)

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Clear it Out Challenges to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to Clear It Out Challenges # 51: Color Challenge: Orange You have one week to enter!

HIMCR Challenge # 171: Any Holiday

It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another challenge over at Hiding in My Craftroom!

The challenge this week is ANY HOLIDAY!

Our sponsor this week is:

The prize is: a $12 Gift Certificate to the A Day for Daisies Store.

Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, I was really in the mood to work with some pinks, blues, and purples, so I made an Easter card for this challenge. I used an image from A Day for Daisies called Easter Art.

This card was colored with my Spectrum Noir Markes and all the papers are scraps. I used the crimper, which is something I honestly forgot I had (hehe) to make crimp the purple paper at the top. Overall I like how the card came out!

Clear it Out Challenges #50: Halloween

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!
It's time for another challenge over at Clear it Out Challenges!
This weeks challenge:
Theme: HALLOWEEN
Stash: ORANGE/BLACK
We have THREE wonderful sponsors this week!

Di's Digi Stamps

DeeDee's Digis
AND
SO I created TWO projects this week!!

This one is with an image from the collection "Happy Jacks" from DeeDee's Digis.

I was experimenting with "pumpkin oranges" and found a great tutorial at Crafter's Companion so I was trying it out on these cute little Jack O Lanterns. I thought The orange and black buttons would go great with this card.
The second card I made for this challenge is:
I made this card from a cut file I bought of the Silhouette Online Store and thought these cute little ghosts would make a great addition to this card. These "Ghost Friends" are from ZapPow Designs. I used my daubers and a combination of Gray Flannel and London Fog (Memento Dew Drops) to create the stone-y effect on the castle. I thought this card wouldn't be complete with out a sentiment so I cut a "trap door" in the card to display my sentiment which was sketched from the Silhouette!
This Halloween card is going to be for my hubby, I hope he likes it :)

HIMCR Challenge #170: Embossing

Happy Saturday fellow crafters!!

IT'S CHALLENGE TIME OVER AT HIDING IN MY CRAFTROOM!!

This week our challenge is to use embossing! It can be wet, dry, folders, or even old school with a stylus! Most of all HAVE FUN!

The challenge is sponsored by: Paper Temptress! Her paper's are just wonderful, and gorgeous!

The giveaway is a $25 gift certificate to Paper Temptress

Here is what I came up with for this challenge:

I absolutely LOVE the Kiddo collection from Stampendous and decided to put the three Halloween themed ones I have on a side step card! The black and orange paper is from the lovely paper temptress. I embossed the "side - step" with the spider embossing folder from Paper Studio. The little pumpkins are punched and embossed from Martha Stewart. Of course the images were colored with my trusty Spectrum Noir's! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making it.

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge # 170: Embossing.

Clear it Out Challenge # 49: Thanksgiving!

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!
It's time for another challenge over at Clear it Out Challenges!
This weeks challenge:
Theme: THANKSGIVING
Stash: TWINE

Our sponsor this week is: StampArt Design

Prize is FIVE FREE DIGIS!!

So here is what I came up with:

This was such a fun card to make! It feels kinda "out of the box" for me because I don't usually make such "rustic" cards. I have been working on my "blue jean" coloring skills and have recently learned how to make beautifully colored pumpkins thanks to YouTube and Crafter's Companion website lol. I hope it shows! The cute little word bubble and sentiment was cut with the silhouette and sketched in black with the pens. I just LOVE those things! I hope you all enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

HIMCR Challenge # 169: SSS (Super Scrap Saturday)

Happy Saturday fellow crafters!!

It's that time of the month where we get to use our scraps in a challenge over at Hiding in my Craftroom.

Yes! You heard correctly, it is time for SUPER SCRAPS SATURDAY! We do this challenge once a month in hopes to slowly deplete that ever growing pile of scraps we all seem to have.

The challenge is sponsored by:

The giveaway is: $20 gift certificate to The Paper Shelter!

Here is what I came up with for this challenge:

I'm sure most of you have noticed that I am really enjoying my brand new toy (the silhouette cameo) and I have used this machine to cut out the image (YAY!! NO MORE FUSSY CUTTING!!), and to sketch the sentiment and cut out the cloud. I also used a star dust pen to add more stars to the blue paper. Topped it off with a pretty yellow flower and some embossing on the bottom and VIOLA!

Clear it Out Challenge #48 - Should've Put a Ring on it!

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!

It's time for another challenge over at Clear it Out Challenges!

So the inspiration for this weeks challenge is "If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it!"

This weeks challenge:
Theme: WEDDING
Stash:RINGS/CIRCLES
Our sponsor this week is: Bugaboostamps

Prize is SEVEN FREE DIGIS!!

So here is what I came up with:

I have friend who is getting married pretty soon and her wedding colors are purple and white so I made this card with her in mind. :) I used Paper Studio's Doodle Hearts embossing folder to create the background. I used lace ribbon and crotchet flowers that I had laying around to add some elegance to this sweet little card. The ring is a die cut from Marianne Designs and I embellished it a little more by adding rhinestones to the wedding rings. What girl doesn't love a little sparkle? ;)
I hope you all enjoy! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

HIMCR Challenge # 168: Halloween Colors

Hello Hello again crafty friends!

It's Saturday, which means it's time for yet another challenge over at Hiding in my Craftroom!

This week's challenge is to use Halloween Colors! However, you do not need to make a Halloween card!!

Our sponsor this week is: Stamp & Create

The giveaway is: $20 gift certificate to their store!
You have one week to enter!

In other news, I have recently purchased a Silhouette Cameo!! Oh boy, I have wanted one for a long, long, long time and I finally got it! I just love it so much, it's the greatest thing ever. I have been doing quite a bit of playing around on it ever since I got it, and let me tell you that the possibilities on it are ENDLESS!

So I decided to you use my latest and greatest new toy to come up with this birthday card (Using Halloween Colors)

The cupcakes and stand came from the Silhouette store, as well as the inside of the card. It was a cut file that I purchased from their online store. I then used my sketch pens to create the Happy Birthday sentiment. Overall, I loved using the Silhouette, and I really like the way this card came out. I hope you do too!
