So this week, I used their sweet little image called "Zoot Suit Jamie" and you can find him HERE!

I thought zoot suit, grey, PERFECT MATCH! Plus it gave me an excuse to create a male card, which I find are the HARDEST to make because you can't make them to frou frou! HeHe! I used my trusty Spectrum Noir markets to color in this sweet little boy. From my stash I used the grey metal embellishments and topped them off with red card candi!
If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Clear it Out Challenges to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Since Halloween is the next holiday coming up... I decided to make a Halloween Card! How cute is this little witch? The green and black papers are from a Halloween Stack by MAMBI and the purple paper is just from my stash. The image was of course colored in with my Spectrum Noirs! The glittery part of her dress and shoes were colored in with a stardust pen.

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!
It's time for another challenge over at Clear it Out Challenges!
The goal with these challenges is to clear out your stash, you know the stuff you've been holding on it, or things that you just don't know what to do with? As well as have fun!

This weeks challenge:
Theme: BIRTHDAY

Our sponsor this week is:
Stitchy Bear

My image is called: Blue Tit Rowan

and it came from:

I have a friend of mine whose birthday is very close to Christmas time, so I decided to make her birthday card a winter theme. This bird was my first project that I used my NEW Spectrum Noir colored pencils on! Yes, I have expanded my Spectrum Noir collection to include the colored pencils. I invested in all the different sets, and so far I JUST LOVE THEM. My alcohol markers are my staple, go to, favorite thing in my hobby room so I figured I would give the colored pencils a try as well. They are great and I highly recommend them! I used Glossy Accents on the little berries hanging from the tree.

This challenge just fit so well with this page that I decided to skip ahead to it. :) I used the LaLa Land Heart Banner Die cut and then just wrote in the hearts "Just Married". So far I am loving how it's coming out and can't wait for the completed album!

HIMCR Challenge # 165: SSS

Welcome back friends!
Since it's Saturday, you know what that means... another challenge at Hiding in my Craftroom of course!
It's that time when we dig into our scraps to create a project! YES friends, this weeks challenge is Super Scrap Saturday!
Our sponsor this week is:

So here is my project for the week:

The spider image and sentiment came from Digi Digi Doodle. This paper came from MAMBI Halloween stack, I just love the orange color! I thought it might look cool to do progressing colors for the little spiders. The black circles are from my scraps and were just the perfect size for this project! I used grey and black twine on the side and put a little metal swirl in the center in order to hold the sentiment!
If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge # 165: SSS.

Clear It Out Challenge # 44 - Fancy Folds

Happy Tuesday fellow crafters!

As I stated previously, I have been accepted as a DT member at Clear it Out Challenges! WOO HOO!
So expect to see some fun and exciting challenges on Tuesdays.

With these challenges not only do you have "challenge" you also get to clear some miscellous items out of your stash! Hence the name!

This week our challenge is: FANCY FOLDS
and from your stash use: PUNCHES/DIE CUTS

Our sponsor this week is StampArt Design by Kathryne:

The prize is: 5 digis!

So this week, I used their wonderful image titled "Alanah"! You can find this image Here

Since the challenge was a Fancy Fold card, I decided to do a Twisted Easel card! This was my first attempt at one, and up until this point I thought they were so difficult but they are actually quite EASY! I used Anja's Squares by Marianne Creatables (die cut) and Cheery Lynn's Fanciful Flourish (die cut). I used my trusty Spectrum Noir markets to color in this sweet little image. I also used a snow pen for the snow and the Stardust pen for the glittery effect on her coat!

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Clear it Out Challenges to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to Clear It Out Challenges # 44 Fancy Folds! You have until September 15th to enter!

HIMCR Challenge # 164: Think Fall

Welcome back friends!

Since it's Saturday, you know what that means... another challenge at Hiding in my Craftroom of course!

With summer coming to an end (boo!) we are gearing up for fall! So our challenge this week is "Think Fall!"

Create a project with Fall Colors!

Our sponsor this week is:

The giveaway is a $100 in DCWV goodies!
And there will be 3 winners!!!
So here is my project for the week:

I created this card with dark red paper from Recollections and the Leaves Paper is from a Mat Stack called Autumn Medley by DCWV! It's hard to tell from the picture but the gold leaves are sparkly. It's a GREAT stack from DCWV! This was a new technique that I tried with this card, and since I didn't want to take anything away from it I just added a simple sentiment and VIOLA!

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge # 164: Think Fall.

HIMCR Challenge # 163: Freestyle!

Hello Saturday!

It's time for another challenge at Hiding in my Craftroom!

This week's challenge is one of my favorites, FREESTYLE! I just love to see what happens when you let your imagination and creativity run wild!

This weeks sponsor is:

The giveaway is: 3 Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps digital images - winner's choice!

I find that making cards for men, or for males, is difficult. Maybe part of the reason is because I love the color pink and thin everything should have pink or rhinestones on it! Lol. So I try to step outside my comfort zone, and attempt to make male cards every once in a while. Here is what I came up with using their sweet little image called, Fishing Puppy. Personally, I think this came out GREAT!

As stated in some of my more recent posts, I am really trying to work on my coloring skills! I just bought the Spectrum Noir Color Pencils and will give those a shot here pretty soon as well. I already have the markers, and have for a while, and I just LOVE them. This image was colored in with the markers. The papers are all from my stash, but I did use the Wood Grain embossing folder from Darice on the Kraft Paper. The trees came from "Rustic Lodge" Cottage Cutz die. I thought that the Burlap would add a nice "masculine" touch to the card!
If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to HIMCR Challenge # 163: Freestyle.
Have fun!

This weeks challenge is: RIBBON

So create a project that involves ribbon!

The sponsor for this week is:

The giveaway is: FOUR preselected Images!

Here is the project that I created with one of their lovely images:

This image just made me think of everything pink and girly, so I really made it up that way too! I have been really trying to work on my coloring skills and have tried a few new techniques on this image. I must say that I am pretty please with how it turned out.

The papers are all from my stash. The die around the image is Decorative Labels 8 & Labels 8 from Spellbinders. The label is also from Spellbinders titled "Ribbon Banners". The butterflies are punched from Martha Stewart's 3-1 Classic Butterfly Punch. The sentiment is from Technique Tuesdays "Banners" Stamp set.

Can't wait to see how you will use your ribbon!

Since Summer is nearly over (sadly), we have decided that this challenges theme will be Back to School!

The sponsor for this challenge is:

The giveaway is TBA!

Here is what I came up with using the sponsor's image and sentiment!

I used just regular black card stock and then used a tissue and white chalk to enhance the "chalkboard" effect.  I also thought that it would be fun to put the smiley apple on an Action Wobble! So I did! The pens and pencil and ruler are all stickers from my stash.

Be back here at 2:00pm for our final challenge in the Hiding in my Craftroom Blogiversary!
