Hello Hello!
Well, it's official! I final have more time for crafting!
Back in April, I went back to work full time. Although, it obviously had it's benefits I truly missed being home with my daughter and getting time to play around with my crafty things.
So, my last post was my way of saying ...I'm baaaaaack! I have also decided that I would love to reapply for a position at the Faery Ink DT! I've been on the team since January 2015, and I have loved every minute of it. Amanda truly has a gift, and I'm so excited that I have been able to partake in her DT and I would love to continue to do so!
If you haven't already please be sure to stop by the Faery Ink shop and check out Amanda's amazing art! I probably own 100+ of her amazing stamps. Just about every one of them actually! There are so many amazing ones, and it's incredibly hard to pick a favorite, but I think it would be:
It is a new stamp, but I just LOVE it! It makes for such a beautiful image to color as simply or complexly as you want! Plus, I just LOVE the Arielle & Destiny Line of characters!
My three favorite projects created with Faery Ink Stamps are as follows:
Using: Tea Time Arielle

Using: Amber Unicorn Fairy

Using: Steam Clock Work Fairy

I also really enjoyed coloring this little gal right here - who is a FREEBIE by the way!
I've always been a people person, and I especially enjoy viewing fellow crafty friends work! I believe the purpose of a design team is to showcase an artists work and all the different ways it can be used. For example, people interpret images differently and given the same image to 10 people - no 2 people will make the exact same card. I love seeing the versatility and different ways people create with the same image.
Unfortunately, when I started working I had to let go of almost all the Design Teams that I was on, which at the time, was 6 different teams. The only ones I was able to keep up with are Faery Ink and the one that I run. Now, that I quit my job, I have much more time to create like I used to!
I really enjoy making cards, although I do enjoy the occasional Art Journal page as well! It something I'm still pretty new at, and still learning. My favorite part of any image though, is actually coloring it.
My choice medium for coloring is hands down Copics! I started off with Spectrum Noir's in 2012 and really enjoyed them for a while. However, When I started trying do detail work they just didn't work for me. The bullet nibs aren't flexible enough, and the brush tips they came out with were just big for me. My mom had some Copics and I used hers for a couple images, and decided that I just HAD to switch! So I did, and I'm about 50 markers shy of owning the WHOLE set!
I do not sell my projects, I prefer to give them to loved ones on their special occasions and recently I donated about 95 of my projects to a Women's Shelter - you can view it here -
At the moment, the only social media sites that I am active on is Facebook and Pinterst. I see so much inspiration from those sites, and I hope I provide some in return. I think it's absolutely worthwhile to read other peoples projects, tutorials, and such. This is how we all grow as crafters, by learning from one another.
I really enjoy helping people, and although I haven't narrowed it down specifically yet. I feel as though providing advice, and non biased is almost a calling of mine. I did get my Bachelors degree in Psychology, and late in life I may still purse my Masters.
Thank you for taking the time to read my portfolio for my DT application with Faery Ink!
Good luck to all the other applicants.
Hugs,
Love the way you coloured thes images. I came from the bloghop and I also follow your blog now. Couldn't find the blogmessage about the bloghop so that's the reason I write at this message.
