Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #43: Anything Goes

HELLO FRIENDS!
So there's a great challenge going on over at Crafty Gals Corner! We have a challenge that begins every  WEDNESDAY! More often then not there are MULTIPLE SPONSORS PER WEEK! So there's plenty of chances to win!

This week's challenge is Anything Goes

Our sponsors this week are:

Prize: 2 Digital Images

"The artist behind The East Wind digital images is known as Unky LaStrange. Unky makes her home in British Columbia, Canada with her wonderful daughter, Aurora, the love of her life and source of much inspiration. She has been creating art since she was a child always allowing it to reflect her interests, humour, and love of all that is quirky. Her unique images run the gamut from the darkly humourous and sometimes creepy through the world of fashion-forward Lucy Loo to the sweet Aurora and Baby Aurora where life and people are good and beautiful. There are images to suit every taste, occasion, or whim at The East Wind (https://www.etsy.com/shop/theeastwind/)"
Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

I actually had the privilege of working with BOTH sponsors this go around.

This first card is using the image: Cool Buddies by Stitchy Bear Digital Oulet

I don't make very many "Guy" themed cards because I always find myself wanting to add a flourish, a flower, or something and they never feel "done" to me. However, I'm trying to get better at it so I took a shot with this cute image!

This image is called: Maui Maui and is from The East Wind.

I saw a beautiful card on Pinterst featuring a tutorial by Theresa Momber on how to create this beautiful background with memento inks and daubers! I took a shot at it and JUST LOVE how it came out!

Thanks for stopping by today! Go ahead and head on over to Crafty Gals Corner, and join in on our challenge! You have until Tuesday at 12:00pm to enter!

I'd like to enter this card into the KennyK's Krafty Krew Challenge #204: Happy Everything

Letters 4 Landen

Hello!

So today I wanted to share something different with you. Usually you see cards from me that part of my DT commitments today's post is for something to help a sweet little boy.

A fellow crafter named Mari - is hosting a card drive for him and you can read more about him below:

"Today I want to share with you a story about Landen.

Landen is a very sweet little boy that was diagnosed with Leukemia earlier this year. He is 4 years-old and has 3 years of intense chemo treatments ahead of him.

When he was asked what made him happy he had a very simple answer: Mail. And that's how Letters for Landen was born. In the beginning he got a lot of letters but they have really slowed down. So I am asking for your help. All you have to do is send a card or letter to Landen. I know he would love it." - Mari

I don't know about most of you, but about 80% of my cards don't get sent out, or sold, I just hold on to them. I have atleast 60 - 70 handmade cards just stashed. So why not take some of those and send them to this 'lil guy and brighten up his day a little?

Below is a picture of the first card I sent to him - he has already received and said he loved it!

So on top of brighting up this childs day - Mari has also gathered up some sponsors for this drive aswell!

Currently the following companies are sponsoring this event:

1. From the Paper Temptress - a $15 gift certificate
2. From the Paper Temptress- a Copic Paper Sampler Pack
3. From Lacy Sunshine- $20.00 GC good on digital products
4. A $12 Saturated Canary Gift Certificate (provided by me)
5. A Mystery box of craft supplies - Lots of really good stuff
6. From Scarpper's Delights- TBA
7. Kids Prize - it's a surprise!
8. From Spectrum Noir- a 6 pack of Spectrum Noir markers (winner's choice)
9. From Crafter's Companion USA- a $15.00 GC to the Crafter's Companion store.

Cards and letters can be sent to:

Letters for Landen
66 South Richview Avenue
Youngstown, Ohio 44509

Letters for Landen donations can be made here.

Remember- you can enter as many times as you want! Get your kids involved too. There will be a special kids prize as well.

So come on and join in!
