Ching-Chou Kuik DT Call

Hello there Blogger Friends!

I just saw in the Ching-Chou Kuik FB Group, that she is hosting a DT call!!

I have only had the opportunity to play with a few of her wonderful images, but each one is such a delight to color! So I figured I would try out for the DT Call!

Here are some of my projects featuring some of Ching-Chou Kuik's images:

This one features Deep Sea Sirene which is available through Sweet Pea Stamps. I made a mixed media project with this beautiful image - the full tutorial for creating this beauty is here.

 This was the first image I ever had a chance to color by Ching Chou Kuik and it's called Green Moth Maiden, I ended up making a Art Journal page with this lovely image.

I also just purchased Love in Spring so that I can play along in the Kit & Clowder Facebook Challenge so I'll add that one here soon too ;)

AND

I'm working my way through the June Create & Learn Classes which features Hi Deer and Red Panda so I'll post those soon as well.

-A little bit about me -
I've been crafting ever since I was a little girl. Whenever there were arts and crafts involved I had to be there! As far a cardmaking, scrapbooking, and such I've been doing that the last 6 years. I've started trying my hand at some other things as well such as mixed media, and art journalling.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hugs,
Samantha

Art by Miran DT Call

Hello, Hello!

I recently saw that Art by Miran is hosting a DT Call!

Although I have only recently discovered these images, they are fantastic and a dream to color! My first ever project with one of these images is one I purchased to play along in their monthly progressive challenge.

Here's the card I wanted to share, and use for a chance to become part of the Art by Miran DT!

This image is called Rora & Butterfly

The following items were used to create this card:
- Black Cardstock - Stash
- Dark Pink Cardstock - Core'dinations
- Pearls - Recollections
Black Roses - Recollections
White Rose - Wild Orchid Crafts
White Leaves - Fiskars Leaves Punch
Butterlies - Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Black Lace - Wild Orchid Crafts
Tuexedo Black - Memento Ink
Flower - Silhouette Cut File
Glossy Accents (used on the bubbles)
Stardust Pen - Gelly Roll (used on the butterfly)
Copic Markers
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E13, E15
Hair - YR21, E33, E35, E37
Dress - RV81, RV83, RV85, R46 RV89
Bubbles & Butterfly (Spectrum Noir) - IB1, TB2

So here's a bit about myself:

My name is Samantha and I have been crafting ever since I was a little girl, however, the stamping, coloring, and card-making started about 5 years ago.

My mom had a Cricut Expression and I just thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread - so "Santa" got me one for Christmas that year and I was HOOKED! I started exploring with all kinds of electronic cuts, embossing (in all way shapes and forms), coloring, stamping (both rubber and digital) and I just LOVE every minute of it. Some people exercise, get massages, pedicures and what not to relax...me? I CRAFT! It's my escape and I spend as much time in my wonderful hobby room (that my hubby put together for me) that I can.

I have a little girl who is almost a year old and she hangs out in the hobby room with me from time to time. I can't wait until she get's old enough to "play" along with me. :) She will be a future crafter too!

I enjoy trying all kinds of new products, papers, mediums, styles, and techniques and I believe that this type of hobby is ever evolving and changing - which I find FUN! I finally feel that I have reached pretty decent coloring skills and submitted my test to Spectrum Noir for Accreditation!

I would love to be apart of what seems like a very friendly helpful, and amazingly talented group of ladies. I like to keep busy, and hate being bored - my creative juices seem to ever flowing! Something I'm sure most crafting people can understand. :)

Thank you so much for your consideration and good luck to all the other applicants!

Whimsy Stamps DT Call

Hello Crafty Friends!

In case you haven't see me say it enough,"I ADORE WHIMSY STAMPS!!" I have been collecting them for about two years now, and I am no where close to owning all the ones I want. However, it's a fun hobby to continue buying. ;)

Whimsy Stamps is currently hosting a DT call, and I'm so excited to apply for the chance to join such a wonderful company. Making this DT would be a dream come true. I just love all their stamps from ALL the designers. Each one is so different and they are all ridiculously talented designers.

For this DT application I decided to make a Wintery Christmas Card featuring the very cute "Holly"designed by Sylvia Zet

So... here's my card:

I used a Silhouette Cut File to create the Easel card. I cut it in a Blue Damask print as the base. I used my ever trust Spectrum Noir Markers on this little cutie:

Hair - TN9, TN5, TN3, TN2
Clothes - TB9, TB7, TB4, TB3, TB1
Branch - EB7, EB5
Berries - DR7, DR2, CR11
Leaves - DG3, DG4, DG2

I cut this image out using the wonderful Die Cut set called "Anja's Squares" by Marianne Creatables. I used Nautical Blue Dew Drop Memento Ink and a small dauber to shade in the square. I used a stardust pen on her wings, and snowflakes. I used a Snow Marker on her ear muffs to create that "fluffy" look. I also used Stickles to create that glittery effect of a fresh fallen snow.
I dazzled it up a little bit and added some embellishments such as the Navy Blue Roses, and the glittery snowflakes. I topped it off with a sweet little sentiment and called it a day. I think it came out wonderfully, and I hope that the DT coordinators of Whimsy will like it as well.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would also like to include the following images in this post:
This one is also a Whimsy Stamp but is designed by Elisabeth Bell and is called Chloe's Little Light.
You can find more about this card in my original post here.
This one is designed by StampArt by Kathryne, which is a digital image and is called Autumn Delight. You can find more about this card in my original post here.
Thank you for your consideration! Wish me luck bloggie friends, I would LOVE to be apart of this talented design team.
