Inspirational Fall card

Hey ya'll!

Today, I am sharing a card I made with an inspiration saying and fall themed! Being in southern Texas, we don't get much of a "fall" - I mean is middle of October and our high today was 90 degrees!

 Although this might not qualify as CAS, it's CAS for me! Have I mentioned how much I love Memento Inks?? 

I started this card with one of my newest dies by Penny Black, the Fall Leave Squares and immediately thought of SO MANY things you could do with this! However, I landed on this idea. 

If you're anything like me you have some tiny scraps of paper that you just can't throw out because they're too pretty! WELL, I'm here to tell you that these are PERFECT for those tiny pieces. I cut each pattern paper at 1 1/4 in x 1 1/4 in.

I chose the Avery Elle Sentimental too stamp & die set because I JUST LOVE those fanciful words you can use to go across the card.

The first project is a Fall card, with the image "Aurora Maple" by The East Wind. Alyce from Kit & Clowder has revamped the Skin & Hair class and added a wonderful section about how to color eyes - I just HAD to try it! The result is below :)

The 2nd  project is a Birthday Card, with the image "Marie" by Miss Daisy Stamps. This fish was just too darn cute to color in ugly browns and grey's so I found this picture online and went to town:

I made it a little brighter than this picture above, but i'm pleased with the result!

Nikki Burnette Challenge #2: 2+ Mediums

WOW! Great success with the first challenge! Here I am today to present you with the 2nd one!

 SO here is what I came up with using the image called "Shelby"

I used this image by herself, but you can also get a great version with her sitting on a snail!






Here's how I interpreted this lovely image:

So for this card I used Alcohol Markers, Chalks, and Acrylic Paint!

So a few weeks ago, if you stopped by my blog, you would've seen the debut of the very first BS Sessions! In which, I gave a skin coloring tutorial and Becca gave a stenciling tutorial! Well - I used it and it WORKED!
