HIMCR Challenge #147: Mother's Day

Hello Crafty Friends!

It's Saturday, which means it is time for another challenge at Hiding in My Craftroom! This weeks challenge is Mother's Day. This can be any kind of project like a card, tag, scrapbook page, etc. It just has to say something about Mother's. :)

Our sponsor this week is:

The prize is a $7 gift certificate!

Here is the card that I came up with using an image from Pickled Potpourri.

This card is actually for my grandmother because my mom (Lena's Creations) and I are on the same design team! So since she get's to view this card early, it can not be for her! Hehe.

This card was made with purple paper from my stash. The patterned paper at the bottom is from a paper pack set from Gina K. called Wisteria Lane. The image was colored in with spectrum noirs and the colors used were HB1, HB2, and HB3.

If you need some inspiration for this challenge head on over to Hiding in My Craftroom to check out what the other team members came up with as well! Now it's your turn! Join in the fun and don't forget to link your project to Hiding in My Craftroom, Challenge # 147 - Mother's Day.

Have fun!

  2. Lovely card...you just gave a great way to use up my scraps. What embossing folder did you use for the top?

    1. It is called Cuttlebug Embossing Border Strips, With Love. It is a set that comes with a few others that are also really pretty! :)

  3. I'm with Juanita aka Blue Rose, what an awesome way of creating a pattern with scraps of paper and since they are from the same collection they match perfectly! What a smart move to not show the card meant for your mom! I do hope you post it after you give it to her!!! I know it will be lovely like every card you make.

Hoje tem festa não é? :D:D:D Enjoy it as much as you can, I remember I had a wonderful time on my baby shower, so exciting to share with others your happiness and your baby's blessed existence!!!
