Hello my Crafting Friends!!
Today I am sharing a project that has taken me about a week and a half to complete! One of my very good friend's grandparents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in July. Their children and grandchildren (my friend) are throwing them, what seems like is going to be, a wonderful Anniversary Party! My friend approached me and asked if I would do the invites, RSVP cards, and Thank you cards for this very special occasion. Of course I said YES! The theme they were going with is a vintage/lace/rustic feel. I think I accomplished that with the design that I came up with! :) I must admit that after doing the other set of
Rustic Wedding Invitations, this came a little easier to me. Please enjoy, and as always, I love getting feedback!
This is what the return address on the actual invitation envelope looks like.
I added the flourishes because I thought it gave it that little something extra.
This is what the front of the Invitation looks like. The font is a new one that I downloaded and I think it fits this theme PERFECTLY!
Once you pulled the invitation out of the envelope, this is what you would see! Inside contains the RSVP card and the actual invitation which I wrapped up in a nice Belly Band.
Once you take the belly band off, you can see the pieces individually. The following pictures are just close ups of the individual pieces.
For the invitations, I decided to print the invite on vellum (which is not as simple as I thought it would have been!). I then added the gold rose and embossed it to stick with the "gold" theme for a 50th Anniversary. It seemed to plain at first, so I jazzed it up with the ribbon and twine and thought that it made it look exactly like they wanted. Rustic and vintage!
This is what the RSVP card and envelope looks like. I stuck with the same theme and decided to emboss a gold rose on these as well!
This is a close up of the belly band. As you can see I stuck with the same theme, and used the same lace from the invitations. I also thought that it would be a nice touch to add a heart with their initials in gold.
I had to make 50 of these bad boys!! Whew!
They also asked me to make Thank You cards that matched the same theme. So here's what I came up with for those.:
No matter how hard I tried I could not get the embossing to show up in the picture! The heart has the words "Thank you" embossed in gold. I thought these came up simple and sweet and still matched the rest of the set.
Enjoy!
