AND

Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

I actually had the privledge of working with BOTH sponsors this go around. The first one is Zombie Love by Rick St. Dennis. I decided to make a dark, halloweenish, spooky, creepy, gory?, messy art journal page! This was SO SO SO much fun to do! I played around with my new Dylusions Paints, Acrylic Paints, and Oil Paints! The poem was printed on vellum, and overly heated (on purpose) with my heat gun to create a grungy, burned, transparent feel.

The poem is hard to read but it says:

Zombie Love
It started with a piece or two
My lips... a lock of hair
As I began to care.
But slowly you demanded more

And so I offered freely
All I could afford to give -
Pulsing with my ardent love
My heart so you could live.

You marveled at its beauty,
You reveled at its beat,
You understood my sacrifice,
And palmed it carefully.

But soon its thumps gave out,
Fascination quickly soured,
And while I shed a broken tear,
My life force was devoured.

And now you want it all,
The piece you left behind,
And though I long to heal your pain,
I dare not give my mind.

On top of being an amazing crafter - Becca is also a fantastic writer! I had seen some of her poems before and thought they were just amazing, so I asked her if she wouldn't mind writing me a little something something to go with this art journal page!

This next project is just a card with some pretty neat stenciling! I used Memento Dew Drop Inks to create the background.
Using: Web Veil by Sami Stamps

Thanks for stopping by today! Go ahead and head on over to Crafty Gals Corner, and join in on our challenge! You have until Tuesday at 12:00pm to enter!

I'd like to enter this card into the KennyK's Krafty Krew Challenge #204: Happy Everything
